1. Normal Operation Mode
The Normal Operation Mode further has the following four modes.
These modes are switched over by the operating clock source selected.
After reset, the Middle-Speed Mode (the Divided-by-8 Mode) is selected.
- High-Speed Mode
- BCLK is derived directly from the Main Clock without being divided.
- Middle-Speed Mode
- BCLK is derived from the Main Clock by dividing it by 2, 4,
8 or 16.
- Low-Speed Mode
- BCLK is derived from the Sub Clock (fc), and the Main Clock oscillation is activated.
- Low Power Consumption Mode
- BCLK is derived from the Sub Clock (fc), and the Main Clock oscillation is stopped.
2. Wait Mode Execute the WAIT instruction to enter the Wait Mode, the MCU stops operating. BCLK and the watchdog timer are stopped. However, the oscillator remains active. The MCU is restored from the Wait Mode by a hardware reset or an interrupt.
3. Stop Mode
Set the All Clock Stop Control Bit (CM10) in the System Clock Control Register 1 (address 00007 ) to 1 to enter the Stop Mode, all clock oscillation (Main/Sub Clock) stop. The least amount of current is consumed in this mode. The MCU is restored from this mode by a hardware reset or an interrupt.
