1-4 Processors

We are developing SuperH Processor products for mobile and network applications using the SH-3, SH3-DSP, SH-4 and SH-4A CPU cores.
Most of these products also have the J-TAG H-UDI for debugging.

These products have the SH-3 CPU core using 68 basic instructions and on-chip MMU. They are used in wireless LANs and in mobile information devices.
For example, the SH7705 operates at 133MHz and has an on-chip 32K-byte cache. It features on-chip peripherals such as USB functions, synchronous DRAM interface functions, 32-bit timer, 10-bit A/D converter and 64-byte FIFO serial ports.

These products have the SH3-DSP CPU core, which is an enhanced version of the SH-3 with the additional function to repeat multiplication-accumulation per clock cycle. They are used in high performance printers and FAX machines.
For example, the SH7720 operates at a speed of 133MHz and has an on-chip 32-byte cache.
In addition to the on-chip functions found in the SH7705, this chip features on-chip peripherals such as a large LCD controller, USB host controller, all types of card interface and a 12C bus interface.

These are products with the SH-4 CPU core use Harvard architecture and 2-way superscalar. It has an FPU capable of double-precision and vector operations, and it is used in CIS such as car navigation systems.
For example, the SH7751R operates at 240MHz, has a 16K-byte instruction cache and a 32K-byte data cache. It has on-chip PCI controller to connect to all types of PC cards and peripheral LSIs.

The SuperH Processor family evolves into the SH-4A.
The SH-4A operates at 400MHz, employs 2-way superscalar and Harvard architecture and boasts a Dhrystone performance of 720 MIPS.
The SHxxxx has on-chip 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional graphics accelerators and has the power to drive high-speed, real-time navigational displays.
